Date: 4pm 16th July to 4pm 17th July
Place: SPH @ Toa Payoh
3.15pm: reached the SPH centre n registered. Collected the absurdly heavy goodie bag.. which btw we paid for.. haha Chopped a good seat and proceeded to wait for LIqi who said she's caught in a jam..
3.45pm: Went to the entrance to meet liqi..who came in shorts. *eyes widen*
4.00pm: Competition starts. Immediately went to the pantry to get drinks. Yummy cadbury hot chocolate
5.00pm: Ya.. still slacking away and soakin in the atmosphere. Liqi received Elvina's call and elv's excited voice gt broadcast and we quickly rushed out of the audi. Spotted free cornettos along the way.. grabbed one of course n had a quick photo snap. Came back in time to observe the evening conference where the sph editors decide what goes into the Sunday Times..Liqi keeps asking me.. eh.. we must listen to them one ah.. i said no. but aniway she still listened..
5.30pm: First Stimulus - Top Story. Oh how related can that be. We just had a conference about what will go into the sunday times and now we get top story.. ha but i know better. i continue to slack. no point starting now.
6.00pm: Liqi and me decided to have a good time and so started looking at pictures and reading cleo and laugh ourselves silly. Everything..except type..
6.15pm: .. A serious looking photographer came by with his super impressive looking camera and squatted down in front of us. I looked at liqi, she looked at me. The photographer started snapping away at different angles.. at our legs... ME: " hey hi, why you taking out feet?" SILENCE. NO REPLY. We pretended he wasnt there and continued luffing away.
7.00pm: Dinner... *no appetite*
7.30pm: Liqi gets very motivated to start her script. The guy besides her keeps typing away... I continue to clear space on my laptop.
8.00pm: Stretching time.. Tour around the SPH library.. cool..
8.30pm: Watched videos on my lappie.
9.00pm: Stimulus no 2 : Looking back....
9.30pm: Started a bit of thinking.. plotting.. looked around and see if i knew anione.. nope so plugged in my earphones and started listening to songs...
10.00pm: Liqi complained that my bangles making a lot of noise... said i had another blue set at home from Minqian.. and that's it... she went ballistic...
10.30pm: Liqi still going ballistic... a series of sms she sent... *hehe*
11.00pm: Stretching time 2: Went to see the pre-press process.. I like. Interesting.. but of what terrible working hours! At this time, there were still ppl working in the office.. and this was suppose to be normal!
11.30pm: Went to the pantry to grab biscuits and more tea. Met the law guy from NUS who looked familar. Ohh..he attended the previous competition too at the turf club. was there too.
12.00am: Third stimulus: Time is running out....just what i needed at this point in time.. Word doc is completely blank..
12.30am: Keep getting weird stares from ms liqi *ahem!*
1.00am: We went out to get food from Shell... very happy!
1.30am: Happily eating Tom Yum flavored cup noodles in the pantry while liqi had mee siam.. joined by some other participants who were attracted to the pantry by the smell of our food...
2.30am: Liqi realised her shorts were unzipped.
3.00am: 4th stimulus: Rooftop.. were all brought to the rooftop.. damn sleepy
3.30am: Spent some time looking at cars whizzing by below and then at the stars in the sky and then dozed off.. liqi starts typing furiously.
4.00am: Made my way from rooftop back to Auditorium. Liqi wans to stay at the rooftop.
4.30am: Slept on the audi's table. Had a mini nightmare ... all ms liqi's fault.. *dagger stare*
5.00am: Continued to drift in and out of sleep.
6.00am: Woke up with a pain in my neck and limbs. Liqi was still sleeping. went to wash up a bit and grabbed the sunday times.
6.30am: Read newspaper. with a 100 others.
7.00am: Started to plot out a detail story line filled with love, angst and drama
7.30am: BREAKFAST! YEA!
8.00am: Typin away...
9.00am: Stimulus 5: A wrapped up box... after unveiling.. a typewriter AND a penknife *cannot imagine*
9.30am: Yea... all 5 stimulus in! can start properly.. luffing at ppl who had to change their scripts coz cannot fit in the last stimulus.. past experience counts.. haahah. Liqi engrossed in work. Occasionally tells the guy beside her that she very stressed out by him
12.00pm: LUNCH ..had a quick one and then damn kan jiong went to type our scripts again
1.00pm: Chopped a seat at the comfy sofa outside the audi and continued typing..
1.30pm: Went back to the Audi and found Chua Enlai reading my cleo at my place. Lend me ah.. he said.. ok!np
2.00pm: Huge progress... went back to Audi to relax abit.. both of us started to luff at each other's script.
2.15pm: Went to sit outside at the steps facing the HDB flats waiting for majorinspiration to hit so that i can end my play with a bang.
2.45 pm: Mr Lawyer borrows cleo for a read too... he said its quite interesting.. i said.. My school gives out a lot of FHM... he went isssssit.....
3.00pm: FINALLY.. Completed script! Happily sent for printing and asked liqi to jia you..
3.30pm: Both of us packed up and sat and looked pretty. Our efforts paid off.
3.45pm: Got interviewed. Questions were like: sooo tell me how did u all manage to look so alert even after 24 hours WITHOUT sleep?! or what about this. Tell me, are you 2 always this happy? hahah
4.00pm: Liqi rushes off. I stayed for the ceremony
4.15pm: Certificate ceremony
4.30pm: Had a group photo taken.
5.00pm: Home sweet home! :)
Happy that managed to attend this year. All up and ready for the next! Liqi wants a 2 year break so anione for next year?!! hahah
