I was late today.. just all of 10 mins. But late nontheless. And all because I went straight back to bed after washing up.. The nerve of me. haha. Fortunately the boss was extremely forgiving.

A while back, I was pondering over this question. Do you love first or do you trust first?

Meaning, do you fall head over heels in love first, and then start to learn to trust that someone with your everything or do you first realise that yes, you can trust this person and then you start falling in love.

I think the fall in love-head-over-heels first then slowly learning to trust belongs to the romantics...the kind who want to be swept off their feet. You know, the kind that happens in the romance novels. Where the gal is kidnapped by this tall dark handsome brooding outlaw who is actually like the prince of the neighboring country and after being his captive, she realises he's not as tough as he looks, and starts to fall in love with him, that kind of story.

But then again if you think of it, maybe she sees some good qualities in him first, like maybe integrity, strength of character and then she falls in love with him. Right? Sooo maybe, she actually trusts him subconsciously, and then she loves him.

Seriously, I think its this subconscious thing that reali always complicate matters. When its subconscious you do not realise it and then you start doing things and you ll be wondering "now why on earth did i do that?!" coz its subconscious darlin.

Yea, sorry to digress. So back to the question. Love first or trust first?

I think, maybe it both happens at the same time. Someone told me, Love is a deeper kind of trust. And therefore as we trust, we love and as we love, we trust. No matter which comes first, its for sure that love would not last without trust.

So what's love without trust called then? Is it love? Or then maybe in most cases its lust? Coz love without trust seems stripped of emotional links and support. Now that's another story altogether and I can go on and on about this...

Tell me what you think.

And yea, the weekend's coming. But first, Im looking forward to tonight. So I m going to be extremely good and do everything in the fastest and bestest efficient way so that no OT tonight! " )
